Debbie’s passion is to inspire others to love Ballet and musical expression. She knows that not every little person will become a ‘budding ballerina”, and not every dancer will turn their love for the arts into a career, but truly believes that they will always carry the lessons they have learned through their training, choreography, and their performance to improve the quality of their daily lives and careers.
Debbie believes that everyone should be given the opportunity to dance and strive to create a safe, friendly, and family environment where they can learn judgment free, where everyone is treated fairly.
Debbie was born in Durban, South Africa. She started dancing at the age of 3. She was taught and trained by her mother, who still teaches and judges all over the world. Debbie trained in ballet (RAD), Modern/Jazz, Tap (AIDT), Spanish dance, and a small amount of ballroom dancing. She started teaching and choreographing at the age of 13 years and participated in many eisteddfods and competitions.
The studio offers American Performance Awards for students who would like to receive grades, as well as an end of year demonstration where every child gets to participate and have the opportunity to dance on a stage.
